Rodney A. Thomas PFA

Current Work

I have recently decided to begin pursuing an art career in two related, but distinct, disciplines: photography and digital fine art.

Photography

I have been shooting digitally since 2001, and have been recently focusing my attention on nature photography, with an emphasis on coastal wildlife and scenery.  I have recently practiced my art, marketed as Eclectic Shutterings, by photographing wild horses on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, whales off Maine’s coast, sea lions and otters in California, and waterfowl in Florida.

Digital Fine Art

I have recently steered my photography interests towards a digital art discipline.  Specifically, I have been enhancing and manipulating my digital nature photographs into fine art digital paintings.  My most current project, marketed as Nature’s Abstracts, focuses on creating abstract fine art from Nature photography… or, more accurately, allowing Nature to create abstract fine art pieces through me.
